Frequently Asked Questions
Get answers to common questions about Full Legs Waxing.
Most clients enjoy smooth legs for three to six weeks depending on hair growth, hormone levels and skin. Regular waxing often extends intervals as hair thins. Maintenance appointments every four to six weeks are recommended for consistent results.
Some discomfort is normal, especially on first appointments, but our experienced therapists use quick strips and calming techniques to minimize pain. We apply soothing pre- and post-wax oils and cool compresses. Numbing creams are available on request for especially sensitive clients.
Exfoliate gently two days before and avoid heavy creams or tanning on the day. Hair should be about 1/4 inch long for best grip. Arrive clean and dry; skip retinoids or strong acids 72 hours prior to reduce sensitivity.
If you have sensitive skin or conditions, book a consultation first. We can perform a patch test and tailor products. Waxing may be unsuitable for active sunburn, open wounds, severe varicose veins or certain skin infections. Always disclose medications and recent treatments.
Prevent ingrown hairs by exfoliating gently two to three times weekly, keeping skin hydrated with non-comedogenic moisturizers, and avoiding tight clothing immediately after waxing. Use occasional salicylic acid treatments if prone to ingrowns and schedule regular waxes to prevent coarse regrowth.
We recommend waiting at least 12 hours before hot showers or baths and 24 hours before intense exercise to reduce irritation and infection risk. Use lukewarm water, gentle cleansers, and avoid saunas, chlorinated pools, or heavy sweating for the first day after waxing.
