Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Upper Lip Waxing.

A typical appointment lasts about 10–20 minutes, including a brief consultation and aftercare. The waxing itself is quick, often completed within minutes, making it convenient for busy schedules and quick touch-ups.

No. Waxing removes hair from the root, which causes regrowth to appear finer and softer. Regular waxing often leads to sparser regrowth, unlike shaving which can make hair feel stubbly and thicker.

Some sensitivity is normal, but experienced technicians use quick techniques and soothing wax to reduce pain. Exfoliating beforehand, avoiding caffeine, and applying calming post-wax gel help minimize redness and discomfort.

Ensure hair is at least 1/4 inch long (about two weeks of growth). Avoid retinoids or strong exfoliants 48 hours prior, arrive with a clean, makeup-free upper lip, and inform us of medications or sensitivities.

Most clients return every 2–4 weeks depending on individual hair growth. Over time, regrowth may slow and intervals can extend. Your technician will recommend a personalized schedule based on results and skin sensitivity.

Mild redness, tenderness, or slight bumpiness can occur immediately but usually subsides within hours to a day. Avoid sun, heavy exercise, and harsh skincare for 24–48 hours. Contact us if irritation or infection signs appear.
